I\u2019ve soothed my ears with the rushing waters at the Villa d\u2019Este near Rome, and I\u2019ve tasted food and wine that harkens back centuries.\u00a0All of these things cement me firmly on my planet as part of a centuries long story.\u201d

Traveling keeps me humble and keeps me open to new ideas \u2026 new sights, new sounds, new smells, new tastes, new landscapes, new cultures, new ways of looking at life and the world we live in.\u00a0I get chills just thinking about the amazing places I’ve been, the mind-blowing experiences I’ve had and, most of all, how much more of this fascinating planet I’ve yet to explore!\u201d

I relish the rush of experiencing for the first time a hot air balloon ride in Egypt, climbing to the Tiger Nest Monastery in Bhutan, or snorkeling around the icebergs in the Arctic. I love to experience new and unexpected things, to be challenged, and to learn to be comfortable being uncomfortable. Travel does all this and more!\u201d
