There are trips you return from that make you ponder having rubbed shoulders with misery and poverty.<\/p>\n

There are trips that revitalize you because you have matched the rhythms of the city that has renewed itself to the new millennium.<\/p>\n

And there are, yet, those trips that give you a lot of insight and make you think they’d been waiting for you for a long time. You know these places; they look like a suddenly livened postcard.<\/p>\n

Well, I believe that some Greek islands have always been waiting for me. While setting down my suitcases, these Greeks would start incessantly repeating to me that this blue sky, that exists only on their islands, would fill up my eyes. This blue color which is used to adorn the roofs and houses each year looks like it is specially there to welcome us, the tourists, and to welcome us. Oh! And they know how to welcome you and they know how to remain unforgettable.<\/p>\n

They prepared themselves long before my arrival: the blue roofs to be repainted, the flowers to be arranged along the stairs, and the white stones walls, cleaned only to blind me!<\/p>\n

Indeed! That’s how they made me feel during my stay on their islands. They made me believe that these pretty white and blue tablecloths were waiting for me only at the turn of every pathway on the incredible island of Mykonos. Its legendary pelicans, its windmills, its labyrinth of small gray and white streets are so clean that you can easily believe they are washed every morning. It was so enjoyable to walk there at dawn when everything is calm.<\/p>\n

Ah! again… they made me believe that this unique blue sky had adorned itself with that dazzling color only for me in Santorini. And this city, Oia, has somehow attached itself to the flank of heaven while waiting for me forever so that I could grasp the incredible beauty and mystifying tranquility.<\/p>\n

\n I still enjoy the chivalrous and disconcerting atmosphere of the island of Rhodes where, for a few days, I enjoyed living as a princess waiting for her Lancelot in the old fortified town.<\/p>\n

Oh yeah! They made me believe that they had prepared everything for my stay to keep it unforgettable.<\/p>\n

And it was so good to believe.
\n And I love to believe they are still waiting for me.<\/p>\n

Il y a des voyages d\u2019o\u00f9 vous revenez songeur parce que vous avez c\u00f4toy\u00e9 la mis\u00e8re et la pauvret\u00e9.<\/p>\r\n

Il y a des voyages qui vous dynamisent parce que vous avez vibr\u00e9 au m\u00eame rythme que cette ville qui s'ouvrait au nouveau mill\u00e9naire.<\/p>\r\n

Et il y a aussi ces voyages qui vous en mettent plein la vue et qui vous laissent croire qu\u2019on n\u2019attendait que vous depuis longtemps. Vous savez ces lieux qui semblent des cartes postales soudainement anim\u00e9es.<\/p>\r\n

Eh bien, je crois en effet que certaines \u00eeles grecques m\u2019attendaient depuis toujours. En y d\u00e9posant ma valise, ces Grecs m\u2019ont sans cesse r\u00e9p\u00e9t\u00e9 de bien m\u2019emplir les yeux de ce bleu de ciel qui n\u2019existe que dans leurs \u00eeles. Ce bleu dont les toits et les maisons se parent chaque ann\u00e9e pour nous recevoir, nous, les touristes, et pour bien nous recevoir. Oh ! Et ils savent vous recevoir et ils savent se rendre inoubliables.<\/p>\r\n

Ils se sont pr\u00e9par\u00e9s longtemps avant mon arriv\u00e9e : le bleu des toits \u00e0 repeindre, les fleurs \u00e0 agencer dans les pots tout en haut des escaliers, le blanc des pierres \u00e0 rendre aveuglant pour moi seulement!<\/p>\r\n

Eh oui! C'est comme \u00e7a qu'ils m'ont fait sentir pendant mon s\u00e9jour dans leurs \u00eeles. Ils m'ont fait croire que ces jolies nappes blanches et bleues n'attendaient que moi au d\u00e9tour d'une ruelle sur l'incroyable Mykonos. Ses l\u00e9gendaires p\u00e9licans, ses moulins \u00e0 vent, son d\u00e9dale de petites rues grises et blanches si propres qu'on les croirait lav\u00e9es chaque matin. Comme il \u00e9tait agr\u00e9able de s'y promener au lever du jour alors que tout est calme.<\/p>\r\n

Ah! aussi\u2026 ils m'ont fait croire que ce bleu du ciel unique s'\u00e9tait par\u00e9 de cette couleur \u00e9blouissante que pour moi \u00e0 Santorin. Et cette ville, Oia, accroch\u00e9e on ne sait comment au flanc du ciel, m'attendait depuis toujours pour que je puisse en capter l'incroyable beaut\u00e9 et l\u2019ind\u00e9finissable tranquillit\u00e9.
\r\n Je savoure encore l\u2019atmosph\u00e8re chevaleresque et si d\u00e9routante de l\u2019\u00eele de Rhodes o\u00f9 l\u2019espace de quelques jours, j\u2019ai pris plaisir \u00e0 vivre comme une princesse \u00e0 attendre son Lancelot dans la vieille ville fortifi\u00e9e.<\/p>\r\n

Ah oui! Ils m'ont fait croire qu'ils avaient tout pr\u00e9par\u00e9 pour que mon s\u00e9jour soit inoubliable.<\/p>\r\n

Et comme c'\u00e9tait bon d'y croire.
\r\n Et comme j'aime croire qu'ils m'attendent encore.<\/p>\r\n
