Route

Day 1 - Vancouver

Transfer from the airport to your hotel located near the important sites of the city. After settling in, take a stroll through the Gastown district, known for its steam-powered whistling clock, shops and art galleries. Vancouver is also known for its trendy culinary scene.

 

Day 2 - Vancouver

There’s no shortage of activities: you can take the world’s longest suspension bridge, the Capilano Bridge, or take a water taxi to Granville Island to enjoy the shops, exhibitions and local market.

Day 3 - Vancouver / Kamloops

This morning, you are boarding the Rocky Mountaineer that will take you from the Vancouver train station to Kamloops, in the heart of British Columbia. Throughout the day, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Fraser Valley and the mountains of the Cascade Range. Lunch and dinner will be served on board as you travel along the Thompson River. You will arrive in Kamloops in the early evening and be transferred to your hotel. Take the rest of the evening to explore the surrounding area.

Day 4 - Kamloops / Banff

You’re back on the train early this morning to reach the Rockies and the province of Alberta at the end of the day. During the day, you’ll see many ranches, a few glaciers, lakes at the bottom of the mountains and remarkable tunnels that are part of the rich history of the Rockies.

Your lunch and dinner will be served on board. You will arrive in Banff at the end of the day and be transferred to your hotel in the heart of Banff National Park.

Day 5 - Banff / Calgary

You will start your day with a tour of Banff by bus. You will see sites of interest such as Bow Falls, Lake Minnewanka and the Hoodoos. Before being transferred to your hotel in Calgary, you will have the chance to see the Rockies from the top of a helicopter tour.

Day 6 - Calgary

After your lunch and climb to the Calgary Tower, head to Stephen Avenue. Here you’ll find the main pubs in the area, but also many shops and restaurants. A nice detail, this area is for pedestrians only!

 

Day 7 - Calgary / Yoho National Park

After picking up your rental car, head to Yoho National Park for a whitewater rafting trip down the Kicking Horse River or a hike. Return to your hotel at the end of the day.

Day 8 - Yoho National Park / Jasper

Head to Jasper National Park for a hike on the Icefields Parkway. The view of the Saskatchewan Glacier is magnificent. Picnic at Pyramid Lake and enjoy a swim. Return to your hotel at the end of the day.

Day 9 - Jasper / Calgary

This is your last day in the national park. You are free to choose your favourite activity.

Return to Calgary in the afternoon.

Day 10 - Calgary / Montreal

Transfer to the airport for your return flight to Montreal.
