Route
Day 1 - Ubud
Upon arrival at Denpasar Airport, you will be transferred to Ubud and can stay at your hotel for 3 nights.
Explore the city starting with the Ubud Palace located in the heart of the city and still the residence of the royal family. The palace includes the private temple of the royal family but also the Puri Saren temple which is public and where there are often performed Balinese dance performances.
End your day with a visit to Ubud Market, the perfect place to pick up a souvenir.
Day 2 - Ubud
Rent a scooter or a car with driver and go through rice fields and tropical forests to get to know Balinese life. The villages are never far from each other.
Go to these essentials: the monkey forest and the Goa Gojah temple, built in the 9th century. On entering, you will see the fountains of sacred water flowing in a basin. There is a peaceful, almost mystical atmosphere.
Day 3 - Ubud
Take a yoga class, a cooking class or… enjoy the sweetness of the places around you.
Day 4 - Benoa, Bali
Transfer to the pier at Benoa, the main port of Bali, for your cruise on the Star Clipper.
Get to know the crew and go for a walk on the beach on the Benoa peninsula. The places are heavenly.
Day 5 - Gili Kondo, Lombok
Today we arrive at Gili Kondo, an uninhabited island that is part of an archipelago of 33 small islands east of Lombok. The word Gili means small island in Sassak language. Take advantage of the day to snorkel: the waters are calm and you will see many multicolored fish. If you prefer, just relax on the beach or take a long walk.
Day 6 - At sea
Take advantage of the boat’s facilities. If you wish, you can take part in the navigation or the handling of the sails. Learn to tie a sea knot, take an aerobics class or relax on the deck.
Day 7 - Komodo National Park, Komodo
The park was founded in 1980 to protect the world’s largest lizard, the Komodo dragon, and its natural habitat. This lizard looks like a dinosaur replica and is extremely aggressive. This giant can reach 3 meters in length and weigh 150 kg. Discovery hike in the park.
Day 8 - Pink Beach and Satonda Island
Pink Peach or Pantai Merah, is one of the 7 pink beaches on the planet. This color comes from microscopic algae, the foraminifera, which leave a red pigment on coral reefs. It is said to be the best place for snorkeling.
Satonda is a tiny, uninhabited island that was formed millions of years ago after a volcanic eruption. In Indonesia, the locals believe that the island is sacred: you will also see the pieces of coral hanging from the branches of the trees which they come to offer to the gods.
Day 9 - Gili Meno and Gili Trawangan
Known internationally as Gili T, Gili Trawangan is the most popular of the Indonesian islands. You will have enough time to explore it: diving, cycling, horse riding are available.
Gili Meno, nestled in the heart of the Sunda Islands, offers a quieter break. You can taste its long white sandy beaches, a glass of fresh coconut in hand.
Day 11 - Benoa, Bali
Disembarkment in Benoa.
Transfer to the airport for your return flight to Montreal.
