Route
Day 1 - Montreal - Trois-Rivières
Departure from Montreal and direction the city of Trois-Rivières.
You will pass along the village of Charlemagne and then the city of Repentigny. The Chemin du Roy passes near the Purification church built in 1725.
The next stop is the Le brun general store which regroups three general stores established at different times.
The road then leads to Berthierville where the Cuthbert’s chapel is located.
Just before arriving in Trois-Rivières is the seigneurial mill of Tonnancour, or Pointe-du-Lac.
Day 2 - Trois-Rivières - Quebec City
You will be able to visit Old Trois-Rivières, the promenade of the port park and the streets of the Forges and Notre-Dame.
Then head towards Cap-de-la-Madeleine which houses the Notre-Dame-du-Cap Shrine. Its basilica surprises by its octagonal architecture and its imposing dimensions.
In Portneuf, the wharf stretches for one kilometer into the St. Lawrence River. You will have the opportunity to watch ships passing by as they make their way through a long curve in the river.
A last stop before arriving in the suburbs of Quebec City will be in Donnacona. This city was named after a famous First Nations chief.
After passing through Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures, the road continues on Chemin de la Butte, then it’s on to Vieux-Cap-Rouge, Saint-Félix Street and Jacques Cartier Beach, the Cap-Rouge coast, Chemin Sainte-Foy, Gaudias Petitclerc Street, Chemin Saint-Louis and finally the Grande Allée de la ville de Québec, the last stop on your fall journey.
