The Land of the Morning Calm – South Korea

It is in its villages, far away from the big, dizzying cities, that you will feel the calm mornings of South Korea best. Because in Seoul, at dawn, everything starts to move! The modern towers, the state-of-the-art technology, the incessant coming and going in the streets can finally become dizzying. It takes time to marvel at the rise of modernity and respect for tradition. The tranquility of dawn will await you in Gyeongju among its temples, in Haohe in front of its traditional houses inhabited by only 200 souls and on Jeju-do Island for a little lazy time under the sun. Odyssea will take care of the main lines of your project and what can cause trouble and you will take care of admiring, meandering, conjugating your adventure.

After your lunch, go to the station and take the train to Andong (about 3 hours). After settling down for 2 nights at your hotel in the city centre, go for a walk in this city of nobility. Andong became known by its Confucian students. There are still 26 private schools dating back to the Joseon dynasty. Pagodas, schools, mask museum or folklore museum are a must. In the evening, allow yourself to taste the traditional dish of the region, jjimdak, spicy steamed chicken.
