Route

Day 1 - Buenos Aires

When you arrive in Buenos Aires, after dropping off your suitcase at the hotel, you set off for a city tour including a visit to the Colon Opera, the Metropolitan Cathedral, the first city hall, the Cabildo, the mausoleum of the General Martin, the national hero and the districts of San Telmo, La Boca and its colorful houses, Palermo and La Recoleta.

In the evening, you will attend a dinner show at the tango house, El Porteno.

Installation at your hotel for 2 nights.

Day 2 - Buenos Aires

Breakfast at your hotel.

Visit the city of San Antonio de Areco with its old bars, the Pulperias, to get to know the city of the gauchos.

Barbecue on a local ranch.

Return to your hotel at the end of the day.

Day 3 - Puerto Iguazu

Breakfast at your hotel.

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Puerto Iguazu.

Upon arrival, installation at your hotel for 2 nights and rest of the day free.

 

Day 4 - Puerto Iguazu

Breakfast at your hotel.

Depart for a visit to the Argentinian side of the Iguazu Falls located inside Iguazu National Park, 67,000 hectares of which have been declared a UNESCO Natural Heritage Area. The falls consist of 275 waterfalls with an average height of 70 meters.

Dinner on the way.

Return to your hotel in the late afternoon.

 

Day 5 - Puerto Iguazu / Trelew / Puerto Madryn

Breakfast at your hotel.

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Trelew.

Upon arrival, meet your local guide and depart for a visit to the penguin colony at Punta Tombo, 120 km from the airport.

Dinner on the way.

At the end of the visit, transfer to your hotel in Puerto Madryn for 2 nights.

 

Day 6 - Puerto Madryn / Valdes Peninsula / Puerto Madryn

Breakfast at your hotel.

Departure early in the morning to the Valdés peninsula with a stop at Puerto Piramides, Punta Delgada to see the elephant seals and Punta Canor to admire the wildlife. Dinner included.

Return to your hotel at the end of the day.

Optional: excursion to see whales from Puerto Piramides.

Day 7 - Puerto Madryn / Trelew / Mendoza

Breakfast at your hotel.

Transfer to Trelew for your flight to Mendoza

One hour walking tour of the city of Mendoza upon arrival.

Installation at your hotel for 3 nights.

Rest of the day free.

Day 8 - Mendoza

Breakfast at your hotel.

Visit of vineyards in the Valle de Uco region: Adeluna, Diamandes and Piedra Infinita.

Dinner is included.

Return to your hotel at the end of the day.

Day 9 - Mendoza

Lunch at your hotel.

Cooking class and gourmet dinner at the Susana Balbo vineyard.

Return to your hotel in the late afternoon.

Day 10 - Mendoza / El Calafate

Breakfast at your hotel.

Transfer from your hotel to the airport for your flight to El Calafate.

Upon your arrival, transfer to your hotel and installation for 2 nights.

Optional activities: gourmet experience aboard the Maria Turquesa boat around the glaciers.

Jour 11 - El Calafate

Breakfast at your hotel.

Departure towards the Perito Moreno glacier located in the national park of the same name. On the way to the glacier, you can observe Lake Argentino and Redonda Bay, which offers a beautiful variety of birds. The glacier is an impressive river of ice with a length of 30 km, a width of 4 km and a height ranging from 50 to 60 meters above the sea. The glacier will impress you with its beauty and the constant rumble that emanates from inside which is caused by ice which is constantly in motion.

Return to your hotel at the end of the day.

Day 12 - El Calafate / Ushuaia

Breakfast at your hotel.

Transfer from your hotel to the airport for your flight to Ushuaia.

Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and installation for 3 nights.

Day 13 - Ushuaia

Breakfast at your hotel.

Excursion to Tierra del Fuego National Park including Lapataia Bay. You are in Patagonia, where the first peoples left many traces of their passage including the concheros, archaeological sites which inform us about their habits and customs. The End of the World train ride.

Return to your hotel in the late afternoon.

Day14 - Ushuaia

Breakfast at your hotel.

Depart to the Ushuaia docks to board a catamaran for your cruise on the Beagle Channel. We will cross to the north bank of the canal to reach Les Éclaireurs lighthouse where we will be able to observe a wide variety of seabirds. Continue to Estancia Remolino and Gable Island. The tour ends on the island of Martillo where there is a colony of Magellanic penguins. Lunch included.

Return to your hotel in the late afternoon.

Day 15 - Ushuai / Australis Cruise

Breakfast at your hotel.

Transfer from your hotel to the boarding pier for the 4-night cruise on the Australis boat. Embark on this adventure expedition to discover the wild beauty of Patagonia. Welcome cocktail and presentation of the captain and the crew. Then the ship will weigh anchor, bound for the far south. Passing through the legendary Beagle Canal and the Strait of Magellan, you will travel through Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego.

Day 16 - Australis cruise

Navigation through the Murray Canal and Nassau Bay to arrive at Cape Horn National Park, where you will disembark if the weather conditions allow it.
In the afternoon, you will disembark in Wulaia Bay, a historic site that was one of the largest indigenous settlements of the Yámana boaters. Charles Darwin disembarked in this place in 1833 during his voyage aboard the HMS Beagle. You will arrive at a watchtower by walking through the Magellan forest where lengas (beech from Tierra del Fuego), coigües, cinnamon trees and ferns grow among other species.

Day 17 - Australis cruise

You will sail through the northwest arm of the Beagle Channel to enter and disembark in the Pía Fjord. You will make an excursion to the belvedere where you can observe the glacier of the same name, and its main language which extends from the high mountain range to the ocean.

In the afternoon, you will enter Garibaldi Fjord for an excursion to the Patagonian cold forest, and climb to the foot of a glacial waterfall. From this point, you can enjoy an imposing landscape. For passengers who remain on board, the Captain will approach the Garibaldi Glacier to allow them to enjoy a panoramic view from the ship’s external decks.

Day 18 - Australis cruise

In the morning, you will sail in the Cockburn Canal in order to reach Seno Agostini, where it will be possible to observe the glaciers that descend from the center of the Darwin mountain range, some of which flow into the sea. During the morning, you will disembark in a Zodiac to hike without difficulty around a lagoon formed by the melting of the Aguila glacier, to arrive in front of the latter. In the afternoon, you will sail in a Zodiac to approach the Condor glacier. You will learn about the formation of glaciers and their influence on the steep geography of the Fuppe channels.

Day 19 - Australis cruise

Early in the morning, weather permitting, you will disembark on Magdalena Island, a place of compulsory supply for former navigators and explorers. During your walk to the lighthouse, you can observe a huge colony of Magellanic penguins.

Finally, the disembarkation at Punta Arenas is scheduled at 11:30 am.

Transfer to your hotel and installation for two nights.

Day 20 - Punta Arenas, Chile

Lunch at your hotel.

City tour of the essential places: the port, Munoz square, the cathedral and the viewpoint of Cerro de la Cruz.
