Route
Day 1: Montreal - Calgary - Banff
Go to Montreal airport to catch your flight to Calgary. Upon arrival, orientation tour of the province’s largest city. Departure for Banff. Check in at the hotel for two nights. Welcome dinner including a glass of wine.
Day 2: Banff
This morning, departure for the Athabasca Glacier of the famous Columbia Massif via the Icefields Parkway, famous for its wonderful panoramas. An excursion in “Ice Explorer” will take you on a 300 meter thick ice surface! Road to Peyto Lake for a stop before leaving for Moraine Lake to admire this sumptuous turquoise lake. Road to Lake Louise with a stop at the famous Chateau Lake Louise. Return to Banff for the night.
Day 3: Banff - Kamloops
Boarding aboard the Rocky Mountaineer, on which you will make a two-day trip. Route between Banff and Kamloops, during which you will be able to easily admire the beautiful scenery throughout the day. Breakfast and dinner on board. Overnight in Kamloops.
Day 4: Kamloops - Vancouver
Embarkation aboard the Rocky Mountaineer, breakfast and dinner on board. You will continue your journey westward to the city of Vancouver. You will follow the course of the Thompson River, admire the tumultuous waters of Hell’s Gate and enter the Fraser Canyon surrounded by the Coast Mountains. Accommodation for two nights in Vancouver.
Day 5: Vancouver
A tour of Vancouver with a local guide will take you to Stanley Park, Chinatown, Queen Elizabeth Park and Gastown. This afternoon, you will take the longest suspension bridge in the world: the Capilano Bridge followed by a visit to a salmon fishway.
Day 6: Vancouver - Victoria
Free morning to discover the city at your convenience. After dinner, you will take the ferry from Tsawwassen to Swartz Bay (1h35) then drive to Victoria. Settling in Victoria for two nights.
Day 7: Victoria
Morning tour of Victoria with your guide: residential areas, the harbour, Beacon Hill Park, Empress Hotel, marina and parliament. Afternoon free to enjoy the British flair of the provincial capital. In the evening, visit the famous Butchart Gardens.
Day 8: Victoria - Vancouver
Some free time this morning to finish your explorations of the city. You will take the ferry from Swartz Bay to Tsawwassen (1h35) and then drive to Vancouver. Settling in Vancouver for the night.
Day 9: Vancouver - Montreal
Transfer to Vancouver airport to catch your return flight to Montreal or Quebec City.
