Day 2 - Dublin
This is the day devoted to the city’s must-see places: the Irish Whiskey Museum, St. Patrick’s Cathedral and the Guinness Brewery.
Day 3 - Kilkenny
Drive to Kilkenny, a medieval city founded in the 5th century. Don’t miss the cathedral, the prison and the superb castle. Before settling in at the hotel for 2 nights, take a walk along Butterslip Street in Kilkenny city centre, crossing several arches. You will be at the heart of the city’s history.
Day 4 - Kilkenny
Spend the day in the Wicklow area, the gardens of Ireland. Also visit the 6th century monastic site of Glendalough.
Day 5 - Cork
Cross the Midlands and stop at the Cashel Rock overlooking the town. The ruins are imposing and the spectacular landscape. When you arrive in Cork, stay in a hotel for two nights. The centre of Cork is located on an island in the middle of the River Lee. Its atmosphere is close to that of a village. As the quality of its gastronomy is extraordinary, you will have no difficulty in finding a good table.
Day 6 - Cork
Discover the bells of St Anne’s Church, learn the disturbing history of Cork Prison or sail under the city’s sights on a kayak tour. Just outside the city, you’ll see fabulous castles and beautiful coastal villages such as Cobh, once the docking port for the Titanic.
Day 7 - Killarney
You leave for the Ring of Kerry, in the direction of Killarny, a first beautiful stage, located in the middle of the wilderness. The town centre is charming, colourful and flowery, where you will find it good to walk through the maze of narrow streets. Stop in a pub around 9pm, where traditional music is played. Settling in for 2 nights at your hotel.
Day 8 - Killarney
There are plenty of activities to choose from: hiking the Kerry Way or Dunloe Pass, visiting Ross Castle, trekking Mount Torc or taking a boat trip on one of Killarney’s three lakes.
Day 9 - Liscannor
Drive to County Clare to spend time at the unmissable Cliffs of Moher which are over 8 km long. Don’t miss a glimpse of the panorama of these rocky giants overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. You will settle down for 2 nights, nearby, in Liscannor.
Day 10 - Clare
We suggest, if you have been around the cliffs, to take a boat trip to the Aran Islands. The small island Inisheer is pretty and you can go around it by bike.
Day 11 - Galway
Take the coastal road, through the beautiful landscape of the Burren, an area with lunar landscapes, to Galway where you will spend the next 2 nights. The city is famous for its bohemian and artistic atmosphere: any excuse is good to party in this city. The city is steeped in history, but it is alive with a contemporary atmosphere. You’ll love it!
Day 12 - Galway
You can’t leave the area without taking a few shots of the wild sheep and horses that populate the wilderness of Connemara. It is here that the traditions of Ireland are locked away to protect them from the weather. Take some time to visit Kylemore Abbey, a castle of majestic elegance.
Day 13 - Dublin
Return to Dublin where you can stop at the Clonmacnoise Monastery. Settling in at your hotel for 2 nights.
Day 14 - Dublin
For your last day in Ireland, we suggest you visit the Giant’s Causeway, a geological formation consisting of 40,000 hexagonal basalt columns. Scenes from the TV series Games of Thrones were shot here. The landscape is simply breathtaking.
Day 15 - Dublin / Montreal
Transfer to the airport for your return flight to Montreal.
