Route
Day 1 - Montreal - Ayer's Cliff
Departure from Montreal and direction Eastern Townships.
On the road to Ayer’s Cliff, you can visit the Saint-Benoît-du-Lac abbey. This impressive monastery overlooking Lake Memphremagog was built in 1912 by Benedictines from France.
You can taste cheeses made with the same recipe since 1943 and cider. Bleu Bénédictin and Frère Jacques are among the most popular cheeses in Canada.
Day 2 - Ayer's Cliff - Bromont
The next day you will go to the Uplands Cultural and Heritage Center in Lenoxville to have tea like an Englishman. Tea is part of the tradition in Lennoxville. This house with its Jacobin-style furniture is more than a hundred years old. It is also a museum. Most of all, you can taste excellent teas.
You will also have the opportunity to go to the village of Compton to meet the boss of a family business in organic agriculture.
You will dine at the Château Bromont. The restaurant Les Quatre Canards on the Château Bromont estate is one of the must-see establishments for good food in the Eastern Townships.
After dinner, you will spend a night at Le Saint-Martin Bromont Hotel & Suites, which is a renowned establishment in the Eastern Townships.
Day 3 - Bromont - Montreal
The Léon Courville vineyard will offer you the most beautiful view of Brome Lake. In addition, the property is surrounded by maple forests that are centuries old.
The estate produces white and red wine in a modern winery. Part of the production is aged in oak barrels. The house also offers late harvest and ice wines.
You will have the opportunity to taste different bottles: Maréchal Foch, De Chaunac, Baco Noir and Baco Vert (Armagnac), Chardonnay, Riesling and Pinot Noir.
